BRYN-Y-MOR, NEWGALE, PEMBROKESHIRE, WALES Bryn-y-Mor stands in a secluded position in a quarter of an acre of securely fenced ground on the cliffs above Newgale Sands, and enjoys spectacular views over St. Brides Bay. It sleeps ten, (five twin bedded rooms plus a cot, travel and high chair), and is very suitable for family holidays. Well behaved dogs are welcome (two max). There are fine sandy beaches directly below the cottage, which are reached by the cliff path. If you prefer to drive, Newgale Sands has a large car park, and there are a number of other beaches within easy reach by car. The cliff path stretches along the whole coast and is maintained by the National Parks of Wales as a conservation area, where there is ample scope for walking and observing wildlife. The cottage is situated a quarter of a mile off the coast road, 7 miles from St. Davids and 10 miles from Haverfordwest. The shop at Newgale sells basic commodities, there is a post office and small supermarket at Solva, and a full range of shops in St Davids and Haverfordwest. The accommodation is comfortably furnished and comprises five bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and two further shower rooms, all with loos, carpeted sitting room, with a multi-fuel stove, leading onto a long verandah overlooking the sea, which provides sea-view dining and sitting areas. The brand-new kitchen has electric cooker with four rings, large American style freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a large immersion heater for hot water. A new utility room leads off the kitchen, with washing machine, tumble drier and sink - with pegs for wet suits. There is electric heating throughout. A multi-fuel stove in the living area provides a cheerful and cosy alternative when it gets cold, and the days short. A small TV is provided with integral DVD player. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, an ample supply of crockery, pillows, summer duvets, blankets and some surf boards are provided, but not bed-linen, towels or drying up cloths. The cottage should be left clean and tidy after your stay. Pets. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed in the house, which should not be permitted into the bedrooms. More than two dogs only by special arrangement with the manager. No other animals of any description. Bookings are from 5pm. on a Friday until 11am. the following Friday. Weekends are also possible for off season breaks. Bookings can be made by e-mail or telephone. Booking form should be returned enclosing half the rent as a non-returnable deposit. Cheques should be made out to Simon Arbuthnott (Bryn y Mor Account). The rent includes electricity but not coal or firewood for the stove. Supplies will be left in the garage at the beginning of the season; please replace what you use so there is always a bag of coal for incoming tenants. It is suggested that you take out private holiday insurance as we regret that refunds cannot be made unless we are able to re-let the property at short notice. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. |
